United Biscuits turns up the heat in McCoy's range

27 June, 2008

United Biscuits has added a limited-edition range to its McCoy's crisps brand. Called Extreme, the range is targeted at "men who can handle the heat" and includes two new flavours - Red Hot Chilli and Chicken Madras.

It will be available from next month in 50g packs, with a retail price of 50p. Extreme multipacks containing Red Hot Chilli, Chicken Madras and Spicy Paprika flavours will also be available with an rrp of £1.65.

Commercial manager Nick Stuart said: "McCoy's Extreme limited-edition range offers retailers the opportunity to capitalise on the growing consumer trend for spicy snacks.

"The Real McCoy's range is growing by 9% year on year and these limited editions have proved lucrative for retailers."

In June, McCoy's will be back on TV with the return of its Man Crisps ad campaign.
