Ripe apricot, peach, cream, oak, vanilla, stony minerality. Creamy mouthfeel. Lemon, apple, peach and vanilla palate. Long finish.


Domaine Stéphane Aladame Montagny 1er Cru 2006

Cream, smoky minerality, lemon and apple. Mineralic palate with apricot, peach and crisp high acid.

Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru 2006

Incense, spice, strawberries, raspberries, cherries and violets. Concentrated smoke, vanilla and red fruit palate, soft velvety tannins and a lingering finish.

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
