Following the success of

Nederburg's repackaging earlier this year, Distell will be launching a new look for its Two Oceans and Fleur du Cap ranges in the near future. The South African specialist has run some strong promotions through the year, including giving away £140,000 in cash on a neck-collar promotion and offering Two Oceans consumers £2 off their next purchase in return for giving their feedback on wines.

Lifting the spirits

I were to sum up alcohol sales over Christmas 2017 in one word, it would be “gin”. At Nielsen, we define the Christmas period as the 12 weeks to December 30 and in that time gin sales were £199.4 million, which means they increased by £55.4 million compared with Christmas 2016.
