One Big Tree for all types of fruit

11 July, 2008

Kopparberg cider will have a presence at Camp Bestival this weekend and Scotland's Connect music festival at the end of August.

The Swedish brand will give festival-goers the chance to taste its pear, apple and mixed fruit ciders in activity under the banner of One Big Tree.

A custom-built pavilion will have seating under a giant tree, with DJs playing chilled beats during the day and

dance music at night, when the tree will be lit up.

Other

activity

includes privilege cards which will be

distributed to consumers in Scotland, giving them access to a number of club nights in towns and cities across the country in July and August.

The nights will feature six emerging groups who will feature on a series of three limited-edition 7-inch discs to be released by the brand.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
