Arniston Bay brut completes range

08 August, 2008

South African wine brand Arniston Bay is making its first foray into the sparkling wine category with the launch of a tank-fermented non-vintage

brut.

The Arniston Bay Charmat is made from Colombard grapes and is described by brand owner The Company of Wine People as having "zesty tropical fruit flavours

and a clean, crisp finish". It will retail for £7.99 .

Barney Davis, brand and business development manager, said: "With sales of sparkling wine continuing to enjoy above average growth , we see the Arniston Bay Charmat Brut as a natural extension to the range. This makes our offering to the retailer a more complete one."

There, beaming up at you, is some relative or friend’s smug postcard with sandy beaches, Piña Coladas and palm trees (or, these days, an in nity pool and a detox smoothie) with a literal or metaphorical “wish you were here” written large.
