Great Western stages wine tour

Great Western Wines has organised an autumn wine tour to showcase some of its producers from around the world.

The programme kicks off on Sept 1 with a visit from Pedro Mansilha Branco of Quinta do Portal, recently voted Winery of the Year at the Portuguese "wine Oscars", Revista de Vinhos.

next month is attracting Viņa Falernia Winemaker Giorgio Flassati and cooler climate Viņa Leyda win emaker Viviana Navarrete.

Also in September, winemaker Stuart Watson, from Woodlands in Margaret River, will

unveil his top wines,

along with Ben Glaetzer

and Kooyong

in a new release offer of premium Australian wines.

Lifting the spirits

I were to sum up alcohol sales over Christmas 2017 in one word, it would be “gin”.
