Get grabbed by grappa

Nardini, traditional grappa maker since 1779, is still a family-owned business based in Bassano del Grappa, north east of Venice.

"Legendary for their exceptional flavour and smooth character, Nardini grappas are double-distilled, using a combination of pot and steam methods, from a selection of moist pomaces (crushed skins from the wine harvest) derived from a time-honoured blend of grapes from local DOC-rated vineyards," a spokesman says.

"If five-year-old

is a remarkable digestive, the younger Nardini Bianca is not only great by itself, but a stylish alternative to vodka, gin, cachaça and other white spirits in many well-known cocktail recipes.

"Famously enjoyed alongside a sweetened espresso as a café corretto, it's nothing short of superb as a powerful chilled shot. One of the best ways to evaluate Nardini Bianca's potential as a cocktail ingredient is to test it with fresh juices or purées."

There's not going to be a campaign for that for much longer

The campaign name There’s A Beer For That may have got cynics like me trying to think of things there wasn’t a beer for, but broadly speaking it was a force for good.
