Thresher set for store openings

09 September, 2008

Thresher has announced plans for 15 new stores before Christmas.

There will be five new Wine Racks and 10 more branches for The Local, signalling an emphasis towards the wine-led and convenience-focused ends of the estate. The company has not unveiled plans for any new Threshers-branded stores.

The company has also unveiled plans to supply a further 40 BP forecourt shops, bringing the total to 230.

Trading director Lloyd Stephens said: “We will have five new Wine Rack and 10 new The Local stores open by the year end – this is great news for our existing and new customers, as well as offering significant growth opportunities for our key suppliers.”
