entertained 3,000 consumers at Bacardi's La Fiesta street party at London Bridge last week. Reminiscent of the

street parties thrown at the Bacardi family homeáin the early half of the century, the event featured a replica house complete with

four-poster double bed and a rum-filled cellar. Cocktails were served from six branded bars and guests were treated to performances from DJ Yoda, Groove Armada and Jazz Bomb's eight-piece band. Directoráof marketing Liam Newton said: "Bacardi B-Live presents La Fiesta was our opportunity to pay homage to this unique heritage ."

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle ľ which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
