Glenlivet has launched an internet marketing campaign comprising competitions, targeted emails and a microsite with video tasting notes from whisky expert Ian Buxton. The campaign will target 100,000 whisky-loving men aged 40-plus, with the chance to win a trip for six to the distillery in Speyside. Non-winners will be given a 2-voucher off their next purchase of 12-year-old . Vouchers for purchases of 15-year-old will be issued in 2009.

Bowmore Distillery has released the second instalment of its trilogy of vintage expressions. The limited -edition White Bowmore will retail for 2,500 and has been maturing in six bourbon casks in the distillery's vaults since 1964. It is described as having aromas of "Gallia melon, mango and papaya", with a palate of exotic fruit, vanilla and maple syrup.
