British wines for £2.99

31 October, 2008

Yorkshire drinks supplier CWF has launched a range of £2.99 British wines designed to cash in on credit crunch-fuelled growth in at-home drinking. Silver Bay Point is made from imported grape juice from Spain and comes in 75cl red, white and rosé at 8% abv. CWF said the wines can

be promoted at two-for-£5. "Cash-strapped consumers are looking to the off-trade to provide them with competitively priced drinks, and Silver Bay Point helps them meet this need," said marketing manager Vicky Lee.
