New buyer at Nicolas

Nicolas has appointed a new wine buyer to work alongside Alain Favereau – Antoine Delafarge.

Delafarge is a trained winemaker who has worked in Bordeaux and Australia, before buying for French wine negociant Friedrich for the past two years.

His role at Nicolas will particularly focus on wines destined for the UK market.

Managing director Eudes Morgan said: “We have already seen what Antoine is capable of in his role as a buying consultant. That is why we are delighted he has accepted our offer, he will be a great asset to Nicolas.”

I were to sum up alcohol sales over Christmas 2017 in one word, it would be “gin”.
