Heineken goes with the Draughtkeg flow

S&N UK is launching a pre-Christmas outdoor campaign for its 5-litre Draughtkeg.

The Christmas-themed ads, which are to be unveiled next week, read: "Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow" and "It's big. It's green. And you gather round it."

S&N's Shaun Heyes has high hopes for Draughtkeg sales this Christmas, and said the keg has been selling well around the country since it rolled out after an initial trial in Sainsbury's last year.

"This year has really been the first big year for Draughtkeg and it's going incredibly well. It's coming into its first real Christmas in the off-trade, and from an innovation perspective it is a sort of perfect product for the festive period because you can genuinely get pub quality beer at home from a great brand."

Heineken's

own consumer research

on Draughtkeg

found that 81% of those questioned liked the product, and 73% said they would buy it again.

Reasons to be cheerful

I would like to think my outlook on things is generally optimistic. Perhaps that’s a natural consequence of working with something designed to give pleasure. But recently it has become increasingly difficult to ignore a creeping sense of negativity pervading the British wine trade.
