Bordeaux's CIVB keeps ball rolling

Bordeaux's CIVB is

staging its "château" ad campaign for the third year running.

The body has unveiled a £1 million ad campaign which is to run in

lifestyle magazines,

national press and

on posters

with the strapline: "Some offer you just a drink. Others offer you a château."

It aims to reach more than 3 million ABC1 "sociable wine drinkers" aged between 30

and 50.

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
