Bibendum moves in to new LCB site

14 November, 2008

Bibendum Wine is the first merchant to complete its move to London City Bond's new Barking-based warehouse.

More than 400,000 cases of Bibendum's products will be stored at the new 273,000sq ft warehouse.

Bibendum's managing director Michael Saunders said: "Our business has grown significantly over the past five years. With large volumes of wine being ordered every day, it is essential to have first-class storage and logistics to ensure we continue to meet our customers' evolving requirements."

The warehouse is capable of storing more than three million cases of stock and handling over 15 million cases per year - increasing the company's previous capacity by around 70%, according to operations director Neil Cowey.
