Streamlined visits for Kiwi tasting

12 December, 2008

January's annual New Zealand trade tasting will be easier to navigate than ever , organisers have said.

Independents will be sent a tailor-made "at a glance" chart showing where to find specific grape varieties or regions they want to focus on, with recommendations from

A New Zealand Winegrowers spokeswoman said: "One of the most commonly-heard complaints about annual generic tastings is the sheer scale of the event. We have made navigation a major consideration."

The tasting,

on Jan 13 at Lord's cricket ground will feature

730 wines from some 120 exhibitors.

Meanwhile, Tourism NZ set up the world's largest rugby ball (above), which could fit up to 230 people inside, near Tower Bridge earlier this month to promote its hosting of the 2011 Rugby World Cup .
