Burgundy wines come to the table

12 December, 2008

More than 500 Burgundy wines from 87 exhibitors will be on taste at the BIVB's annual generic tasting.

The event will take place on Jan 15 from 10am-5.30pm at The Nursery Pavilion, Lord's Cricket Ground, London.

For the first time the tasting will include two themed tables - the Library table, where visitors will get a rare opportunity to taste older vintages from each producer, and the Exhibitor's Choice table, displaying wines that have won international awards or received credible press recommendations.

"The annual event is the primary opportunity for the UK trade to have a complete overview of the last two vintages and taste more than 500 AOC wines at different price points, specially selected for the UK market," a spokesman said.

A

website - burgundytasting.co.uk - has been launched to support the event, enabling visitors to register online and view the list of exhibitors and wines on taste in advance.
