Bankers can't get over Draft

12 December, 2008

You might think

bankers don't have much to smile about at the moment, but Gloucestershire's Wickwar Brewing Company is hoping its new ale will help turn frowns upside down.

The award-winning brewery has unveiled Bankers Draft - calling it the UK's first

"credit -crunch beer ".

Mike Flavin, operations director with the Wickwar Brewing Company, said: "Everyone needs cheering up in these difficult times, so we've launched a totally reliable, full-bodied ale that will help raise a smile in the face of the credit crunch.

"Not only is the name of the ale topical, but like an old-fashioned bankers' draft, it's guaranteed to give 100% satisfaction."

Money from sales of the beer will be donated to the Wooden Spoon charity, which helps underprivileged and physically and mentally disadvantaged children throughout the UK.
