Magners Light launches TV ad campaign

A national ad campaign for Magners Light has been launched to coincide with the brand's distribution across the UK.

Shown only in London back in May, its Dandelion TV commercial uses the strapline

Light by

Nature

to reflect the low calorie content of the cider.

It was screened nationally for the first time on Dec 8 and will run for two weeks across all major networks.

In addition to the TV campaign, there will be comprehensive press advertising in titles such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Weight

Watchers and OK! magazine up until February.

Brand manager Richard Barnes said: "Magners Light proved an instant hit when it launched in London last year and we have now secured distribution in all major off-trade retailers. We expect the product to be a huge success for retailers throughout the UK.

Reasons to be cheerful

I would like to think my outlook on things is generally optimistic. Perhaps that’s a natural consequence of working with something designed to give pleasure. But recently it has become increasingly difficult to ignore a creeping sense of negativity pervading the British wine trade.
