Magners Light launches TV ad campaign

TV ad campaign for Magners Light has been launched to coincide with the brand's national roll-out.

Shown only in London back in May, its Dandelion TV commercial uses the strapline

Light by

Nature

to reflect the low calorie content of the cider.

It was screened nationally for the first time on Dec 8 and will run for two weeks across all major networks.

In addition to the TV campaign, there will be comprehensive press advertising in titles such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Weight

Watchers and OK! magazine up until February.

Brand manager Richard Barnes said: "Magners Light proved an instant hit when it launched in London last year and

we have now secured distribution in all major off-trade retailers. We expect the product to be a huge success for retailers throughout the UK.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle ľ which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
