John Dunsmore joins Fuller's as non-executive director

Former Scottish & Newcastle chief executive John Dunsmore has been appointed as Fuller’s non-executive director.

“John has a wealth of experience which we feel will be invaluable to Fuller’s, and I am very pleased to welcome him to the team,” said chairman Michael Turner.

“There is little doubt that 2009 will be one of the toughest years any of us has faced, and having someone of John’s calibre on the team can only serve to strengthen our position as industry leaders and our ability to capitalise on any opportunities the downturn may present."

Dunsmore was appointed as the new boss of Magners producer C&C in November.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
