Thatchers has new designs on Vintage

06 April, 2009

Thatchers cider is bottling its 2008 Vintage cider, which is to be made available in a 50cl size for the first time.

The oak-matured, medium dry cider is bottled at 7.4% abv and has an rrp of £1.69 for 50cl and £2.19 for a 75cl bottle.

Thatchers has redesigned the packaging for the four-year-old brand with a personal recommendation from company chairman John Thatcher.

Managing director Martin Thatcher, John’s son, said: “Our customers have told us how important the provenance of our ciders is to them, so this new label strengthens the core message that Thatchers Vintage is a traditional cider crafted from English apples.

“The introduction of the 50cl bottle will help drive trial purchase before customers move up to the 75cl bottle.”
