Chang to flex its new six pack

27 March, 2009

Thailand's Chang lager is being rolled out in a six-bottle carry-pack after a successful trial in convenience stores.

The pack of 33cl bottles has an rrp of 6.99, and is supplied in cases of four packs.

Supplier International Beverage is launching the format in the run-up to the Thai New Year Water Festival from April 13-15.

Brand manager Lesley Scoular said recent listings with Makro and Booker had made the brand more widely available in the independent trade.

She added: "To maintain the momentum we've built up behind the brand, we're embarking on the next phase of development of Chang in the UK and the

pack format spearheads the activity.

"We'll also be forging a number of partnership marketing initiatives and a range of sponsorships, mostly linked to Thai tourism and art, which form a natural link with the cultural heritage and tradition of the brand."
