Hine appoints Pol Roger

11 May, 2009

Hine Cognac has appointed the UK office of the Pol Roger Champagne house as its new UK agent.

The move follows the collapse of previous supplier Paragon Vintners in March.

Hine managing director Francois le Grelle described Pol Roger as “a natural home” for the Cognac brand.

Hine and Pol Roger already share distribution in a number of world markets including Japan and Dubai.

He added: “Both our companies share such similar values – a family philosophy, use of the finest raw materials, outstanding quality, superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.”

Pol Roger UK managing director Nick James added: “We shall be working closely with Hine to ensure a seamless transition for its customers.

“It is an exciting time to be working with Hine as there are a number of new projects in the pipeline.”
