Gallo launches NZ Sauvignon

Gallo is moving into the New Zealand wine market with the launch of Starborough Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2008-vintage wine, made from grapes sourced in Marlborough, is to retail for 8.99, and has flavours of honeydew melon, passion fruit, peach and citrus in the Marlborough style.

Marketing director for Europe Iain Newell said:"Starborough Sauvignon Blanc delivers the essence and characteristics of New Zealand's world-famous Sauvignon Blanc.

"We have worked closely with the winemakers to ensure that we offer our UK customers a wine that stands out from the crowd."
