Bacardi launches RTS Mojito

Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands is launching a ready-to-serve Bacardi Mojito cocktail in the off-trade.

Bacardi Mojito Classic follows hot on the heels of the launch of a Smirnoff-based Mojito produced by Diageo earlier in the summer.

A 75cl bottle of the 14.9% abv Bacardi product will retail for around £13.99.

BBFB recommends serving the drink over muddled fresh lime and mint.

Marketing manager Nik Krys said: “The Mojito is experiencing strong popularity in the UK with a continued groundswell behind the drink recorded over the past few summers.

“A Mojito can be an intimidating cocktail to make at home and recreating the perfect balance of flavours can be difficult.”

The launch is being supported by a £500,000 marketing campaign including consumer press, outdoor and price promotions at "key seasonal times”.
