Two TV ads for Strongbow

Strongbow is being backed by two new TV executions in its campaign to position the brand as a hard-earned reward for hard graft.

The 10-second ads featuring bakers and trawlermen are going on air nationally from later this month.

Both ads feature the iconic Strongbow arrows thudding into the bar in the end-frame.

Fiona Sneath, brand manager at Scottish & Newcastle UK, said: “The new executions, combined with the radio advertising, outdoor poster sites and new website, will ensure that the awareness of Strongbow and its rewarding hard graft message will be massively increased in the coming months.”

Strongbow is the biggest-selling cider brand in the UK off-trade.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
