Badger brewery gets £5m makeover

Dorset brewer Hall & Woodhouse is spending £5 million on a new brewery.

Work will begin on its existing Blandford St Mary site in October.

Mark Woodhouse, vice-chairman, said: “Hall & Woodhouse has been brewing Badger ales for more than 225 years and this exciting new development ensures we will be doing so for many more?.

“?An investment of this magnitude also demonstrates our ongoing commitment to brewing and to the continued growth of our premium bottled ales.”

Lifting the spirits

I were to sum up alcohol sales over Christmas 2017 in one word, it would be “gin”.
