Mangrove to distribute UK vodka

19 February, 2010

Mangrove has strengthened its portfolio of spirits after being appointed distributor for Herefordshire-based Chase distillery.

Since 2008, the family-run distillery has been using traditional, hand-crafted methods to make the only English potato vodka on the market. Chase Vodka is produced from home?-grown Lady Claire and Lady Rosetta potatoes, which are the same as those used to make Tyrrell?s crisps.

The distillery also produces Naked Chase Apple Vodka, a selection of fresh fruit liqueurs and Williams Gin, which it claims is the first gin in the world to be made using apples.

Nick Gillett, Mangrove marketing director, said: “We are very excited to represent such a passionate and proudly British spirits producer.

“Owner and creator William Chase is a fervent innovator, working his 607ha farm with his family to turn the very best of Herefordshire produce into these amazing drinks.

“We look forward to building on their great work, to be able to respond to further demand in the UK market and overseas.”?Mangrove is the specialist spirits division of Coe Vintners.
