Powerade offers ‘ultimate training’

Consumers can win a place on a football camp in South Africa, or rugby camps at Twickenham and the Millennium Stadium, in Powerade’s latest on-pack promotion.

The Ultimate Training Experience giveaway will run on promotional packs featuring pictures of footballer Wayne Rooney and Welsh winger Shane Williams.

A daily draw will offer the chance to win one of more than 100 training sessions, as well as tickets to either a World Cup football or international rugby match.

To enter, consumers can text the code found on the label or go to Poweradegb.com to see whether they have won.

Selena Taylor, trade communications manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises, said: “?We expect our new on-pack promotion will boost consumer awareness? and increase sales for retailers.”

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
