Inspirit takes on King’s Ginger

Inspirit Brands is taking on distribution of the King’s Ginger liqueur on behalf of brand owner Berry Bros & Rudd.

The 41% abv spirit, made through a maceration of ginger root and lemon peel, joins an Inspirit portfolio that includes Ocho tequila, Buffalo Trace Bourbon and El Dorado rum.

Inspirit managing director James Shelbourne said: “The co-operation with Berry Bros will be beneficial to both companies.

“King’s Ginger is ripe for development within the growing UK cocktail scene as well as in retail distribution.”?King’s Ginger was created in 1903 for Edward VII.

The brand was relaunched in new packaging last year.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
