Pringles launches Thai Sweet Chilli

P&G has added Thai Sweet Chilli flavour to its Pringles snacks range.

The new flavour is available in 165g cans and follows the introduction of Prawn Cocktail,

ime ’n’? C?hilli and the Pringles Xtreme range last year.

The launch will be supported by flavour?-specific point-of-sale with the strapline: Fall in love with new Pringles Thai Sweet Chilli?.

Paul Lettice, P&G trade communications manager, said: “Thai Sweet Chilli scored fantastically well in consumer tests.

“The launch looks set to boost trial and incremental sales for retailers across the UK.”???

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
