Scrumpy Jack ads head for the hills

Scrumpy Jack is kick-starting the spring trading period with its biggest marketing push for three years.

An on-pack promotion, exclusive to the off-trade, will give consumers the chance to enter a competition to win a week in an English country cottage.

John Edwards, marketing director of Jygsaw Brands, the sales and marketing company responsible for Scrumpy Jack, told OLN: “Our marketing investment behind Scrumpy Jack for 2010 is £500,000, which is significantly up on last year, to continue to drive the momentum behind the brand.”?The promotion will run from April to May and will be supported by a national press, online and poster campaign using the strapline Scrumpyshire.

Edwards said: “The Scrumpyshire campaign takes Scrumpy Jack’s wonderful heritage with the idyllic English countryside a stage further, by giving consumers the chance to savour all that is special about rural England, while possibly even enjoying the odd sip of their favourite cider.”
