19 March, 2010

Molson Coors has set up direct sales and marketing operations in Northern Ireland, creating up to 14 new jobs.

The Carling brewer said it was to open an office in Belfast in what it described as a “multi-million-pound investment”.

Niall McMullan, head of sales for Northern Ireland, said: “The growth of Coors Light and Carling has taken us to the stage where we feel a hands-on approach is required.”?He described Northern Ireland as “a very important market for us”.

The formation of the Belfast operation comes three months after Molson Coors opened a dedicated office in Dublin.
