Naked Grape opens Surrey branch

05 March, 2010

Independent wine merchant the Naked Grape is hoping to grow its business by “at least” 150%.

Business partners Simon Evans and Mark Saban have bought a former Wine Rack store in Grayshott, Surrey.

This will be the third shop under the Naked Grape name and is the first time the company has moved outside of Hampshire. It will open on March 11.

Evans told OLN: “We are taking up the business opportunities that are coming up. We are negotiating other deals and want to open at least another two shops by May.

“We’ve been going for five years now and the opportunities at the moment are too good to miss. We’re being careful where we go and aren’t looking to tread on anyone’s toes.

“We’re not looking to buy anywhere if there is another independent in that area already.”?The existing Naked Grape shops are in Alresford near Winchester and Four Marks near Alton.
