l Three Slovenian beers from the La?sko brewery are set to hit the UK in time for the World Cup. Newly formed business La?sko Beer UK will be importing lager La?sko Zlatorog (4.9% abv), blond beer La?sko Club Export (4.9% abv) and dark lager La?sko Dark (5.9% abv). To stock La?sko call 07979 287498 or email sales@lasko-beer.co.uk.

The Morgenrot Group has gained a listing for Argentinian beer Quilmes in 412 Tesco stores. The company became the new importer for the 4.9% abv beer four months ago and said it will be expanding its world beer offering.

The dates have been announced for the Great British Beer Festival 2010, which will take place at Earls Court in London, on August 3-7. Last year, 64,000 people attended and sampled more than 500 different real ales, ciders and perries. This year beer tastings will be held by Roger Protz, Melissa Cole, Jeff Evans, Christine Cryne and there will also be a Meet the Brewer session hosted by the Society of Independent Brewers Association.
