l Havana Club rum is running an on-pack competition for five consumers to stay in Havana for seven nights and take part in a cocktail masterclass. One thousand professional cocktail sets will also be up for grabs.

A trial size of Absolut Pears will be included in a new pack containing a 70cl bottle of Absolut Vodka Original. Unlike most miniature packs, the 5cl trial size sits at the bottom of the pack, reinforcing Absolut’s TV campaign and philosophy that “doing things differently leads to something exceptional”, according to Pernod Ricard.

Crabbie’s alcoholic ginger beer is the new official sponsor of the 14th Gastro Alfresco and National BBQ Week campaign. Through the deal, an estimated 1.25 million consumers will be reached via targeted leaflet distribution.

lThe Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are to open an extension to the Glenlivet distillery in Speyside on June 4. Completed earlier this year, the new facility will deliver a 75% increase in production capacity to satisfy future global demand.

Jack Daniel’s will be introduced to thousands of music fans at 10 festivals across Europe, including the Isle of Wight Festival, for the first time. The Summer of Music campaign will also include a series of JD Sets which will culminate with Mr Jack’s Birthday Gig in October.
