Nestlé offers retailers ‘huge opportunity’

Nestlé’s 2010 Get Set Go Free promotion is back for its fifth year this summer.

The £3 million promotion, which Nestlé UK says is its biggest ever, will run across six categories: confectionery, chocolate biscuit bars, cereals, Nesquik powders and Pure Life water.

The offer allows consumers to “go free” on 37 different activities, including martial arts, paintballing and scuba diving. Families can collect points from promotional packs, which can then be “banked” and exchanged for an activity voucher.

Promotional packs will hit the shelves from June and points must be redeemed by July 31, 2011.

Graham Walker, Nestlé UK’s trade communications manager, said: “Get Set Go Free offers great value for consumers and a huge opportunity for retailers.

“With £3 million media spend and vibrant new on-pack and point-of-sale branding, the promotion will have unmissable visibility.”?Advertising for Get Set Go Free will start in mid-July, with coverage on TV, radio, in the press, outdoor and online.
