Walkers Flavour Cup goes on tour

Walkers’ Flavour Cup promotion is targeting retailers in a nationwide tour of selected wholesale depots.

During the tour, which runs until July, retailers will be able to sample 15 internationally inspired crisp flavours, which are going “bag-to-bag in the special flavour tournament”.

Special deals and a competition to win stock will run throughout the tournament and experts will advise how to drive sales.

“The Flavour Cup promotion is off to a fantastic start, with sales already exceeding our expectations,” said Jon Kyle, Walkers’ impulse sales director.

The Flavour Cup coincides with Walkers’ celebrity advertising campaign which hit TV screens earlier this month.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
