Strongbow back on TV

Strongbow is launching a series of new TV ads as part of its summer push.

Four more commercials have been made continuing the brand's Hard Earned campaign.

Aimed at positioning the cider as "the ultimate reward in refreshment after a hard day's work", the creatives are being rolled out to coincide with the start of the World Cup.

Lucy Henderson, brand manager for Strongbow at Heineken UK said: "We wanted to celebrate the hard work of the unsung heroes of football and the theme fits well with this summer's World Cup giving Strongbow a strong TV presence throughout the tournament.

"The new ads combined with outdoor posters and upweighted music festival activity will ensure that the message will be a prevalent feature throughout the coming summer."

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
