Miller to vary offer of imported beers

11 June, 2010

Miller Brands UK is looking to introduce a new imported 4% abv beer.

Sales director Darren Tendler said a brand had yet to be picked from the SAB Miller portfolio but it was likely there would be two different versions tailored for the on and off-trade. He said both will be tested in the on-trade before being made available nationally.

“The Inbev guys have differentiated between the off and on-trade and it seems to be working.

“The new beer won’t be a derivative of Peroni,” he said.

Internationally, SAB Miller has a portfolio of “several hundreds” to choose from, Tendler added.
