Cadbury pushes Creme Eggs’ short season

08 January, 2010

Creme Eggs will be back on retailers’ shelves from this month until April 4.

The brand’s seasonal return will be supported by Cadbury with a £5 million investment? that continues the ongoing Here Today, Goo Tomorrow theme.

A TV ad will show Creme Eggs at a glitzy Hollywood film premiere, removing their foils and donning 3-D glasses. The film starts with the words Ready, Steady, Goo in 3-D before the eggs explode over the theatre.

Outdoor and digital ads will celebrate the limited availability of Cadbury Creme Eggs in the run-up to Easter, with the strapline Gooing, Gooing, Gone (?Until Next Year)?. The brand will also feature in two different iPhone applications and an online game.

Trade communications manager Kate Harding said: “Cadbury Creme Egg is the biggest-selling count line between January and Easter, and by investing £5 million in? the campaign, the limited availability message, proven to motivate purchase, will be reinforced.”???
