Balvenie releases its third Signature

02 April, 2010

The Balvenie is releasing batch three of its Signature single malt whisky range.

First created by malt master David Stewart in 2008, to mark his 45th year in the whisky industry, The Balvenie Signature 12 Year Old is produced in small numbered batches, with each cask hand-selected by Stewart.

The malt was made by marrying three traditional cask types: first-fill Bourbon, refill Bourbon and sherry. It will be available from mid-May.

“We’ve ended up with a complex single malt with many layers of taste and structure, that really demonstrates the magic of the wood,” Stewart said.

The third batch will have an rrp of £31.49.
