l Bacardi has launched a canned premix of its Georgian Eristoff vodka and cola. The drink is being listed by Sainsbury’s and has an rrp of £1.85 for a 25cl can. The move coincides with the introduction of new packaging – with an updated label and crest – for Eristoff Original and Black.

Hampshire Royals are being sponsored by Morgan’s Spiced rum in cricket’s Friends Provident T20 competition. There will be sampling of the brand with cola at matches and the chance for fans to win a year’s supply in a bowl-out during the intervals.

The Friends of Laphroaig malt whisky has chalked up 400,000 members. The global community gives members 1 sq ft of land on Islay and invites them to the distillery to collect their rent in the form of a dram.

The new-look Wine Rack is running?a World Cup offer of African Mishale brandy at £9.49 until July 18. The offer represents a £4 saving on bottles of the KWV-produced spirit.

Campari-owned Glen Grant is celebrating a landmark in its history with the launch of a 170th Anniversary limited edition single malt. The whisky has been blended by master distiller Dennis Malcolm, from selected cask from 1976 to 1999. It has been bottled at 46% abv.

A bottle of single malt has fetched £25,000 at auction. The 1937 Glenfiddich whisky was one of only 61 bottles made and released in a batch of 10 in 2001. It was sold at a specialist whisky sale at Bonhams in Edinburgh.
