Crabbie's sponsors Scottish Open

Crabbie’s alcoholic ginger beer is to sponsor golf’s Scottish Open, which takes place at the Loch Lomond course from July 8 to 11.

The Halewood International brand will be the associate drinks sponsor for the event which is expected to have an attendance of 80,000 plus TV coverage.

The main aim for the brand is to reach the core Crabbie’s target audience of 25 to 54-year-old men.

Brand manager Al Cross said: “The Crabbie’s brand has a long-standing relationship with gold clubs through its original ginger wine brand, often drunk as a Crabbie’s Mac winter warmer.”

The activity will include a branded bus on the course and a Long Putt Challenge competition in association with green maker Huxley Greens during the tournament.

The limitations of Instawines

Picture the scene. You put your key in the keyhole, shove the door with your shoulder, drop your bags and look down. There, beaming up at you, is some relative or friend’s smug postcard with sandy beaches, Piña Coladas and palm trees (or, these days, an in nity pool and a detox smoothie) with a literal or metaphorical “wish you were here” written large.
