Ex-Majestic chief joins Enotria board

Former Majestic chief executive Tim How has joined Enotria as deputy chairman.

How, who retired from Majestic last year after 19 years, will be a non-executive director.

Chief executive Alison Levett said: “I am absolutely thrilled to have Tim How join the Enotria board.

“He brings exceptional knowledge and experience of the wine sector, and I know he will be a great asset to our business.

“I am really looking forward to working with him and the fresh perspective that he will undoubtedly provide.”?How is also chairman of Rayner & Keeler, a private optical products business, a governor of the Peabody Trust and the current chairman of the Wine & Spirit Trade Association.

How’s other non-executive roles are at Henderson Group and DSG International.

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
