Morganís embarks on TV adventure

Morganís Spiced rum is to be backed by its first national TV ad in the UK.

The ad continues the Diageo brandís Modern Adventurer campaign and the end-frame will feature the premix Morganís Spiced & Cola, with a prompt for consumers to visit the website and download a voucher for a free sample.

Marketing manager Ali Wilkes said: ďWe see huge potential for Morganís Spiced, having seen significant growth in Scotland and the north of England, and we are investing significantly to extend this success across the rest of the UK.

ďWe expect this activity to drive trial and increase sales opportunities.Ē

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
