Traditional perry from Hoganís

06 August, 2010

Warwickshire cidermaker Hoganís has launched its 2009 Vintage Perry.

The product comes in 50cl bottles and has an abv of 5.4%.

Hoganís founder Allen Hogan said: ďPerry is a wonderful drink with a heritage that belongs to the Midlands region, although it is so uncommon most people probably donít know of its†existence.

ďBy creating a sustainable demand for the perry fruit, perrymakers encourage growers to maintain their orchards and invest in new ones.

ďIt is vital that the decline in perry orchards is reversed and individual varieties are protected so that future generations can continue to enjoy this quintessentially English drink that was†once famed and prized throughout the land.Ē?Hoganís Vintage is being listed by Waitrose in its Midlands stores.
