New sharing bag for Randoms

Nestlé Confectionery is launching a 195g sharing bag of Rowntree’s Randoms.

The bag will have an rrp of £1.45 and contain 10 new Randoms shapes including foamy jigsaw pieces, padlocks and diggers.

The brand is being supported by a £3 million marketing campaign which includes TV advertising and invites to special events for randomly chosen Facebook fans of the brand.

Nestlé said the sharing-bag category was worth £755 million and was growing by 8% annually.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
