Virgin to step up social media channels

Virgin Wines has hired a consultancy to build on its social media strategy.

It has drafted in consultants Somatica to help maximise its presence in social networks, with an view to building“customer trust and increasing brand awareness”.

Jay Wright, managing director of Virgin Wines, said: “The advances and increased use in social media has given us a new way to interact with our customers and, more importantly, to allow them to communicate with us and each other in an informal manner.
